Apartment hunting
Having never attempted to find a sublet/studio for two people before, I’m finding it almost impossible - most places being roomshares that want nothing to do with couples. Not to mention, it’s even harder being so far away.
New Yorkers: Do me a favour? Keep an ear out for any studios that are going up for rent or sublet, and send them my way. We’re looking to spend less than $1000, and due to Sallie Mae, would prefer a place that doesn’t rely heavily on credit checks. As I’m Manhattan bred, I would like to stay on the island, but due to our monetary constraints, I will absolutely not rule out most parts of Brooklyn, or Astoria/Long Island City area.
